First Gifted and Talented Day a success
Released: 23rd October 2008 at 17:00 PM
The first Gifted and Talented day took place on the 22nd of October for children of the Marsh Academy Family of Primary School's.
Two children from each school took place in a variety of activities including volleyball, gymnastics, speed stacking and fitness testing. The pupils were also given a lesson on Sports Psychology and what it takes to get to the top.
The event, organised by the Marsh Academy's SSCo Andre Double was a huge success with full participation from every school. It was also supported by a number of leaders currently enrolled on the ‘Step Into Sport' programme.
A special thanks must therefore go to all of the leaders, the Leisure Centre staff at the Marsh Academy, the PLT's and Primary School's and Nell for her administrative help!
It is hoped that other Gifted and Talented days will follow.
Andre Double SSC0 - Marsh Academy Family.
