BP Partnership Rounders Festival

A hot and sunny Thursday morning at Brockhill was filled with 12 teams from Stelling Minnis, Greatstone, St. Martins, St. Augustines and Morehall playing Rounders.  Games were led by Brockhill Park young leaders and innings lasted 5 minutes whilst teams tried to score as many rounders as they could trying to avoid losing points by getting out.

Initial play was interupted by teams arriving late after a nightmare with transport, but after some rearrangement of the fixtures, teams played a round robin competition in 2 groups of 5.  The winners and runners up of each group battled it out in the final which included Morehall 1 and St. Augustines fighting for 1st and 2nd place, and St. Martins 1 and St. Martins 2 for 3rd and 4th place.

The overall positions are as follows:

1st place - St. Augustines

2nd place - Morehall 1

3rd place - St. Martins 1

4th place - St. Martins 2

5th place - Stelling Minnis 1

6th place - Morehall 3

7th place - St. Martins 3

8th place - Morehall 2

Joint 9th place - Stelling Minnis 2 and Greatstone

Thank you to all Schools for being so cooperative.  The standard of competition and fair play was outstanding.  Well done to all teams!
