BP Family Rounders Festival

On Wednesday 23rd June 12 teams from St. Augustines, Sellindge, Hythe Bay, Saltwood and Lympne took part in the family Rounders Festival held at Brockhill Park.

Teams were placed into 3 groups of 4 teams and played 3 games each in a round robin format.  The winners of each round and the best runner up (highest number of points) then competed in the semi-finals and final rounds to challenge each other for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.

The overall scores were as follows:

12th position - Sellindge 2

11th position - Hythe Bay 2

10th position - St. Augustines 4

9th position - St. Augustines 1

7th position - St. Augustines 2 and Hythe Bay 1

6th position - Sellindge 1

5th position - Sellindge 3

4th position - Lympne

3rd position - St. Augustines 3

2nd position - Saltwood 1

1st position - Saltwood 2

Congratualtions to all teams who took part and put 100% effort into the game on such a hot day and a big thank you to the leaders who organised the event as part of their BTEC 10 Leadership in sport unit and umpired the games.  They did a great job and are slowly getting more confident to lead.  Well done, I really hope you enjoyed yourselves!
