On Tuesday 15th June 12 teams from all 6 of our schools met at Folkestone Cricket Club for the Kwik Cricket festival, ably assisted by Sports Leaders from Pent Valley and umpires from the club.
The group matches got underway with some very close games as some teams fought to make it into the top 2 positions, and others strived to achieve their first ever match win.
The semi finals saw teams from Christ Church, Lyminge and Morehall battling it out for places in the final, as well as Morehall 3, the youngest team ever to participate, containing some Year 3 pupils aiming to make it into the play off to finish in the top half of all teams.
Christ Church dominated the semi finals, resulting in both their teams progressing to the finals, and representing our family at the Partnership finals on the 22nd June. Lyminge beat Morehall 1 in the 3rd and 4th place play off to achieve bronze medal position overall.
I would like to thank all schools and teachers who took the time to train and bring their teams to this festival. It was a fantastic day of competition which all pupils thoroughly enjoyed and a great example of everyone working together to make the festival such a success.
