Dymchurch Primary School were celebrating victory in the Marsh Academy Schools Kwik Cricket Festival, held at New Romney Cricket Club. With representation from four of the six Schools and some Schools fielding two teams, it made for an exciting days play. Although there were strong winds at times, the quality of both the batting and fielding made for some excellent competition. In third place were Greatstone, with Lydd second and Dymchurch first. Fininshing in the top two has meant that both Dymchurch and Lydd have qualified for the the finals day, to be held at Elham Cricket Club on Tuesday the 22nd of June. A special mention must go to Jerry Brown, for organising the use of New Romney Cricket Club and the facilities that were available to us throughout the day. Thanks also to the leaders from the Marsh Academy.
