In terms 4 and 5, schools from the Brockhill Family of schools have taken part in some Tri Golf Challenges to test their accuracy and teamwork. Teams of year 3 and 4 students from Sellindge, Hythe Bay, St. Augustines and Lympne took part in a lesson filled with fun activities to include a simple putting challenge through cones, avoiding the minefields, collecting the treasure and bulleseye (hitting a velcro target).
Teams seemed to thoroughly enjoy the event and really worked well together to achieve the highest scores.
The results for the individual challenge which involved putting onto a velcro target (bullseye) were:
1st place - James from Hythe Bay (10 points)
2nd place - Evan Oshey, Jude Scott and isdabel Stafford from Hythe Bay and Lympne (8 points)
3rd place - Maisie from Hythe Bay
The results from the team challenge which involved teams taking it in turns to putt into the targets (hoops with letters inside). Teams used the letters of each target they hit to spell out a word in 2 minutes. The team with the most words wins. The results are as follows:
1st place - Lestans group from Sellindge with 8 words
2nd place - Eleanor, Isabel, Olivia-Mae, Libby and Phoebe from Lympne with 7 words
3rd place - Molly gunns group from St. Augustines with 6 words.
Thank you to all the teams who took part and I hope to see you playing more golf in the future!
