Gladiators Ready!...3...2...1

On Thursday 11th March, eight teams of year 3 and 4 Gladiators from the Brockhill family took part in the second Gladiators Festival of the year at Folkestone Sports Centre.  Saltwood Primary, St. Augustines Primary and Lympne Primary attended the afternoon of fun-filled activities led by talented sports leaders from Brockhill Park School. 

Teams faced six challenges that tested their teamwork, coordination, dodging and accuracy.  The challenges included run the gauntlet, minefields, team darts, benchball, ping and swiftball.  Swiftball, a new game this year, encouraged teams to pass the ball to every team mate followed by shooting towards a goal in the fastest time before their opposition.  Minefields and team darts encouraged teams to bowl small balls to targets to collect the most points.

The event was a great success with many students eager to score the highest points and take part in exciting new games.  Team Goliath from Lympne Primary claimed 3rd place, followed by Inferno from St. Augustines in 2nd place and a well encouraged Team Amazon from St. Augustines.

Congratulations to all teams who took part who worked so hard throughout the afternoon.  Special thanks to the young sports leaders from Brockhill who ran each activity with confidence and enthusiasm.  The event couldn't run without them.
