Students enjoyed an afternoon away from the classroom to hone their skills at a Multiskills Festival held at Brockhill Park Performing Arts College on Thursday 28th January 2010.
Year 1 and 2 students from Sellindge Primary, Saltwood Primary and St. Augustines Primary joined in at the event in Brockhills sports hall. More than 90 Key Stage One pupils tested themselves during several skills-based activities, including target throwing and kicking, agility runs, team-based challenges and balance.
"The event ran without a hitch and our young leaders from Brockhill demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities to include motivation and team support, which is a skill they have developed through continued commitment and attendance to such events. It was really exciting to see the young challengers enjoying themselves and placing 100 percent effort into performing well."
Sellindge's bats celebrated success after winning first place in the challenges with 195 points, closely followed by the St. Augustine's Zebras with 189 points and their Toucans with 180 points.
