Gifted and Talented Academy Begins

35 gifted and talented youngsters attended the first Shepway Multi Skills Academy at the Harvey Grammar School.  The pupils were selected to attend the academy after a team of coaches visited every year 6 and 7 pupils in the partnership and lead activities to test their speed, strength and agility.

The G&T Multi Skills Academy takes place every month and will give the pupils the opportunity to develop their skills in a number of key areas including co-ordination, agility, balance, speed and fitness. The Academy will also aim to provide the participants with pathways into local sports clubs so they can continue to progress and enjoy their chosen sport.
