HGS Family: YR 2 MULTI-SKILLS - 08.10.09

A Very Exciting Festival!

The first Harvey Family festival of the new school year set a very high standard for others to match.  Fifty excited 6 and 7 year olds, along with a few equally excited staff, arrived at Folkestone Sports Centre to see that an array of exciting equipment had been laid out around the sports hall by a group of excited new Year 9 Sports Leaders from the Folkestone School for Girls. Each excited competitor put on their team animal badge - Bulls, Flamingos, Penguins, Seahorses and Snakes - and made their way to their first exciting activity. Boundless energy and excitement was evident as they journeyed around the 10 stations (with a short but exciting Jaffa cake break half way through), excitedly performing and cheering on their team-mates.

The excitement levels were sustained throughout the presentations, with each team proudly receiving loud cheers for their individual achievements.

If there had been a prize for Exciting Eagerness and Energy Expenditure, it would have gone to the blockbusting Bulls from Castle Hill, some of whom squealed and shrieked with abundant excitement, whilst running, jumping, throwing, hopping and kicking their way around the course!

The overall official winners were the excited Seahorses from exciting Elham! So well done to them and a big Thank You to everyone who made the festival so exciting and such good fun!

I’m looking forward to more exciting fun and games at the Gladiators Festival on Thursday 12th November. It’s not too late to book on and join in the excitement!

Hope to see you soon, Gill
