This afternoon, Monday the 5th October saw the first Multi Skills Festival for Schools from the Marsh Academy family. With seven teams in attendance pupils worked on a series of events designed to improve their hand/eye coordination and all-round sporting development. Folkestone Sports Centre was the venue and will stage a further two festivals for Schools from the Marsh Academy family, one for years one and two, the other for year one. The team with the best overall performance will get the chance to represent their School at the Kent Schools games next year.Pupils arrived at the centre at midday and were quickly tucking into their sandwiches hoping to boost their levels of energy for the afternoons activities. With leaders from the Harvey Grammar on hand to help, they had a chance to practice each of the ten events, before going under the clock. In an eagerly contested event Brookland Primary School took first place with St Nicholas and Lydd Primary Schools second and third respectively. Thank you to all the leaders and staff who made the event such a success.
