Our first Paralympic Roadshow venue was St. Mary's Primary School. Year 3 were the lucky ones who took part in Wheelchair Basketball, Boccia and Goalball. As well as having fun and learning new skills, they are now looking forward to watching the London Paralympics in September so they can see how the experts play the sports that they got to try. After having a go, they started to understand how difficult it can be to control a wheelchair, aim a Boccia ball accurately and stop a bell-ball that they can hear but not see!
Many thanks to St. Mary's for hosting us and we look forward to enjoying more sessions with more schools throughout the year.
